I have noticed, that in the last year prices have gone up a lot. Today Tokai and Grecos are the must collectable, but this may change tomorrow. This is true from a player’s point of view, but it is not always true from a collector’s point of view. Off course there are the Tokai´s and Grecos´s, but when you compare features and prices, you will find, that you will get much more for your money when buying a Burny. I've included the only catalog picture I could find of this guitar, an FTV-70 instead of the earlier FTV-80. This is an extremely rare guitar and I literally could not find anything about it except that in the late 70's it's model number was changed to FTV-70. The original screw was broken off in the guitar and I couldn't remove it and had to use some wood filler to get the new screw in and without the pickguard you can see the hole has been modified. I will back my description.Īddendum: I remembered something about a pickguard screw, the one in the 13th picture, the screw nearest the tone controls. It sounds awesome.Īs with any 50 year old instrument there is no warranty. The pickguard has a couple cracks at the screw holes that were glued back. The chrome screws used to attach the pickguard, truss rod cover and electronics in the back were changed to black as some were missing and it's all I had. Slight fret wear, truss rod works, neck is straight, electronics are original and everything works.
